Unlocked Desktop Barton 2500+ Won't Go Past 2.2GHz

I have come to realise that I won't be able to upgrade my current rig for aloooooong time due to me wanting a car and not having a job at all, so I need to make this setup last as long as possible.

First off is my specs:

UNLOCKED Barton 2500+ currently @ 2222Mhz (11x202)
1Gb (512Mb x 2) OCZ PC3500EL in DC @ 2-3-3-11
Abit NF7-S v2.0 w/ latest official BIOS rev 27
128Mb GeCube 9800 Pro @ 390/360
Audigy 2 ZS
1x WD 200Gb SATA
1x WD 120Gb SATA
520W OCZ PowerStream PSU
Thermaltake Volcano 12 Xtreme

I've been aiming for ~2.3-2.4GHz for at least 5 months (although I know this is a lot harder to hit with a desktop CPU).

I think I have hit a solid brick wall. No matter what I do I cannot get it to prime stable for >11 hours at >2.2GHz.

I consider it an above average CPU considering it can do 2.2GHZ on stock vcore (1.65V).

I think it's pretty safe to say that it's not my PSU, although the BIOS says my voltage rails are way under the 3.3, 5 and 12v but the lights on the back of the PSU are green so which one is correct???

I tried lowering multi to 5x and FSB to 210 but it craps out in prime after 30mins.

I tried 200FSB with an 11.5 muklti and it lasted 9 hours in prime on torture test.

I have run endless different v-core, FSB and Multi adjustments and it wont prime for >11hours @ even 2.3GHz

Also I tried running my ram at 200MHz @ 2-3-2-11 but it required 2.9v to be stable. Is it safe to put this much juice through my ram when last time i checked...the warranty will void at >2.8v??

So any suggestions on how to get it >2.2GHz???

Thanks in advance

KK

even @ higher voltages you can't overclock anymore? maybe you hit the limit of the cpu.

yeah i gave it 1.9v once and tried more OC but prime failed pretty quickly

so u think i just hit the wall of the CPU and its not my components holding bac kmy OC (excluding the CPU)

At least you can 2.2GHz with 1.65v. I need 1.825v!! But I'm using a REALLY crap no-name PSU.

Have you tryed 10.5 x 209?

maybe you should loosen your timings a little and try again
