Hey, 5200's are a big no no they are very bad cards i would recommend getting a 9700np for around $110-$130, it would greatly out perform that weak 5200.

i wouldn't say a 5200 is a bad card. i've got 2 of them here at home... well... one is a 5200 and the other is a 5200U. they are both much faster than my old TI4200. They are really decent video cards, unless you want to play doom3. They are still good for HL2 (my bro's system, an AMD 2000+, 512 DDR2100, and a GeForce 5200 gets close to 30FPS in HL2 at 1024x768x32 with everything on medium settings)

I would at least get a 9600:

same price new. It will be total exstacy if you thought your mx440 was good. I agree with the 1st answer though. A 9700 is the lowest I would go, or an 8 pipe 9500. I have had the 9600 and can tell you they are pretty good for the price. If you shelled a few more peanuts, the 6600GT is guaranteed to last you alot longer although I know how it is to be fund limited.

For $119 buy a 9800SE from newegg.com. I have had good success unlocking the pipes.

The fact of the matter is "cheap" wont really buy you a top of the line card. lol My buddy wants me to build him a system that will have good graphics and be the fastest out there and only wants to spend like $700 and i told him he will get a $700 computer and nothing more.
