price is under 70, i'm looking around and it seems that newegg got some good prices on graphic card, any suggestion? i'm using my old P3 system and building a rig for my parents, but that system doesn't have a graphic card, so i'm throwing them my Geforce 2 and i'm grabbing something a little more decent :)

the graphic card is for me, in the duron rig, lol the P3 system is getting my Geforce 2 :)

I was thinking of picking up a refurb 4800,not a bad deal at all.

I say look for a 4800,9600 series card,9500 with L shaped ram.

so you guys think the 4800 is a good deal? that one doesn't have DX9 though, is it bad?

the 9600 pro is going for 93 bucks, while a 9550 is going for roughly 70, i'm thinking of sticking out with a 9550 as i heard they OC decent.

found something a little more interesting

9550SE? i never heard of this

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-377&depa=0
and then there's 9550E (huh? what's this?)

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-154&depa=0
This is a safer bet with 66 bucks, and it's a strait up 9550

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-153R&depa=0
or i move on to this one at 74 bucks, got a fan on there, and it's 256MB ram

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-121-511&depa=0
and this also has a fan
All these cards are listed as 128bit. and if i pick up the 64 dollars one without the fan, can i OC it to 9600 pro speed? and how hard is it to get better cooling for the card?

All of the cards you showed pale in comparison to a ti4800 or especially a 9600pro.

Eww, that is a bad card. Nothing here is very good that you linked to. Whatever you do, don't buy a 64-bit memory card. Get that ti4800 or whatever it is or get a 9600 pro.

LMAO .....ewww I loved that start off to that reply ha ha ha :)

I would get either the Ti4800 or the 9600 Pro.

The 9550E only has 64 bit memory, but the other 9550s should be okay. They will still be worse than the Ti or 9600 though.
