files donīt appear in the recycle bin

Every time I delete something, it asks if I want it deleted and I say yes. But when I go the recycle bin, there arenīt any files. It would seem as though itīs automatically deleting stuff permanently but Iīve never seen anything like this. Itīs almost like....a virus

Appreciate any help. Thanks

Check your bin's properties. See if it is set to delete and not send to the bin.

Right click your recycle bin icon and go to Properties. Make sure that you don't have delete file instead of send to recycle bin.
