Who invented USB?


Im going absolutly nuts googling this topic to death. Does anybody know whom did it? So far im getting beat around the bush about Macintosh and Intel.

my best guess would it would be intel... why else would it have been included in the ATX standard?
i dunno... just my 2 cents

The USB was, arguably, invented by TI. They released the Hex Bus back in the early 80s that had most of the characteristics of the USB slot. Check wikipedia for hex bus. Pretty ahead of its time and surely the inspiration.
