recommended 12v amps for amd64

What are the number of recommened amps on the 12v rail for amd64's?

The processor itself won't need more than 12A (144w)... there are quite a few units good for it. However, one must take into account the rest of the system too. For yours, since you have a power hungry video card, I'd suggest the Fortron AX500, OCZ 520w, or Enermax Noisetakers above 470w.

I have a local place here with its own branded psu. It is a 600w with 30a on the .3v and 12v rails. The effeciency is rated at 79%. I was thinking of picking that one up and see how it does. The price is good for it.

If you want cost efficient, there is a PSU on Compgeeks.com that is 680watt, w/ very nice rails for a $30 PSU.

I found a decent psu locally. I have one problem though. Because of the type of case that I have, the motherboard power and the cpu power lines are about 3 inches too short. Anybody have any idea where I can buy and extension cable for the two? Would this work if I dedicate one molex line to it?
