Well i gave myself a budget of $600, and well i went over it about $40 with shipping, but hey it's close enough :p

AMD 2800 64bit CPU Socket 754 (free from work)
MSI refurb AGP 6600gt 128mb ($171.20)
DFI NF3 Lanparty UT 250gb Motherboard (109.00)
Fortron 530w PSU (78.00)
Mushkin PC3200 Value Ram 512x2 (137.25)
Seagate barracuda 80gb SATA (72.00)
Thermaltake Venus HSF (34.99)

I think buying almost all brand new stuff it'll do about 8k in 3dmark03. Gonna try to OC it about 200mhz. I am not trying to have an all out gaming machine, just wanted something that'll play all the games out now at a good frame rate with high settings.

Total was $635.00 w/2nd day shipping.

For value 9/10
For Peformance 7/10

Reasons why:
Medicore Heatsink
S754
Value RAM (unless it uses high end chips)

Considering your budget, I think you did very well. That system should serve you for good time until there is a need to upgrade again.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I spent quite a bit of time picking out the pieces for this computer. I really wanted to spring a few more dollars for atleast a 6800nu, but it would save me an ear full from the g/f lol.
