My mic doesnt work on nf3 lanparty ut

Hey guys i just put together my new comp wit a dfi lanparty ut 250gb nf3, and i cant get my mic to work in either the front or the back. Also when i put my headfones in the front and try putting the mic input also my sound turns off from the headfones. Is there any fix or do you guys know what i might be doing wrong.

Also any of you guys have dead usb ports in this board...

look in the bios and enable those usb ports and switch audio from 5.1 to mono and you should be golden.
