DD pump problems

Im using the danger den pump as seen here http://www.dangerdenstore.com/produ...6&cat=23&page=1 .

All of a sudden earlier it started making noise, a very loud vibrating one so i immideatly held the power button my PC and shut it off...it only did the noise for about 15 seconds.

It sounded as if the proppelor was off balance. I had the pump securely mounted to the case with 2 bolts.

Now when i turn the computer on the pump is almost studdering doing little tiny 'jolts' almost....cant really explain it...any ideas here? It sounds almost like something is jammed in there, but its not making a grinding noise, just little 'studders' like it wants to go but it cant.....im really pissed right now and dangerden is getting a nasty ****ing call if there phone every gets of ****ing busy.

Any way i can take it apart and look at it or no..?

Yeah sounds iek your impeller might have slipped off the shaft or something. Either way, crack her open and make sure the impeller and drive magnet are fitted in the housing properly.

your link doesn't work

is it the DDC or the D4?

if its the D4, you can just unscrew the collar and take out the whole motor/propellor assembly (you need to bleed ure system of liquids to do this)

if its a DDC, i have no clue

Hey guys i took it apart and i think i found the problem, the impeller is just sliding around well not sliding but rather rolling in the cup thing...

So i pulled that off and it looks like the little white piece came out of the impelllar piece? It looks like it needs to be pressed back on, can i do this safely in a vice or what?

Please help.

RMA it to danger den, they're very nice about this sort of thing

someone had to RMA theirs due to a similar issue not too long ago, and DD got a new one to them pretty fast

Damn. I could never go without watercooling for a couple weeks. I'd buy a backup pump like a Mag 3 or something so you don't have to go without, then RMA the DD pump.
