Which one is best doesnt matter it being ATI or Nvidia and not going sli.

X800 I suppose, if you can find one

otherwise the 6600GT

edit:

looks like prices of the X800 are still rediculously high due to limited availability - this leaves the 6600GT

yea the 6600 gt, or if u want to wait, prices for X800 will come down eventually, after price gougin.

What about the x700? Comparison to 6600gt?

Nvidia 6600GT, most of the reviews I have seen put the 6600GT ahead of the X700 due to core/memory speeds. Also the 6600GT seems to be dropping constantly down in price, damn good buy in my opinion for under $200.
