since i am gonna reformat my main hard drive, the 120, all the crap i have on the 80gb, will stay there right? i think i am just being paranoid. but its always better to ask then assume.

thanks

Go to the stickeys and there should be a list of the manufacturer's hard drive programs. Look for the seagate one and then use that to reformat them. As long as it isn't in a raid you should be fine. I would back it up on a external hard drive just to be on the safe side.

I'm assuming this is your main OS drive. As long as you pic the correct drive, the files on your other drive will remain untouched.

you could always disconnect the one you want to stay intact and then eliminate the possibility of erasing the wrong one. better safe than sorry.
