Need wireless MACINTOSH equipment

Afternoon guys.

I have a friend that wants to use wireless in his house but can't afford the Airport equipment that MAC wants you to buy. Is there any good cheaper alternatives? I have no clue where to look for this type of stuff.

you should be able to use Linksys, or Netgear wireless routers no problem. Just be sure the wireless card you buy is Macintosh compatible...most should be.

I mean Netgear, Linksys, etc.....any router should work just fine.

You should tell your friend a great place to get Macintosh questions answered is the disscussion boards at apple.com It's free and people respond very quickly, alot of Mac gurus answer questions in there. http://discussions.info.apple.com/
