Does anyone know if this batch chip is any good?

Word on the street is that the CBBIDs suck but you may be lucky with that chip. I just got a week 3 one today and I am hoping for the best myself.

CBBID's seem to be a hit or a miss. I got three duds. Those were earlier weeks though. A friend of mine has an 0501 CBBID that does 2.6ghz perfectly stable. Mine, however, wouldn't do 2.4ghz.

it seems that every winchester since 0450 or so has been a cbbid. what's the percentage, 90%?

makes me wary of buying one. guess i'll just wait for the e0 chips

Excuse the noobishness but I'm not familiar with how they make chips. What are these "batches" and "steppings"? What do week numbers mean? What are CBBID's and e0's? Does this mean that if I buy a 3200 I get random performance depending on the code thats on my processor? Does this also apply to 3000+'s and 3500+'s?

Teach me this plz cuz I get real confused when reading stuff like this but I don't feel like making a topic out of it. Thx in advance
