Is there anything to do beside connecting the drives? Any configuration needed in the SATA-Bios?

I would strongly recommend backing up any vital data first, as there is always an element of risk on changing RAID configurations. Check the block diagram for the MB as well. The RAID controllers may be attached to the southbridge in differing methods. I have seen some boards where the chipset RAID is dedicated bandwidth, while the additional controller is attached to the PCI bus reducing available bandwidth.
