I'm writing a paper on this...

I've searched google, searchalot, and google scholar, but all of them are really...wierd.

I know you guys are smart, so can anyone help me?

I dunno...the question is

5) What does the term "ampullae of Lorenzini" mean and what does it have to do with our trip?


Its an application for a science trip to Florida...

Yah, that is an odd question. At a guess, I believe that they have sharks in Florida.

Um, I do know that the duck billed platypus has electroreceptors and that you can confuse them by dropping batteries in the water (for that I have to pay $50/month for cable). Perhaps you could do some experiments to see if you can mess with sharks in a simmilar manner.

I think you would write your paper about

ampullae of Lorenzini = Electroreception in sharks

What that means to your trip

Sharks Use Electroreception to find things in the water, so swim with batteries trailing behind you do the shark bites them and not you

win some bonus points by finding beaches that have had shark attacks in say the last 5 years and suggest staying away from them,

thats how I would approach an assignment such as this
