YOur thoughts on these laptops?

my friend bought one
he replaced his intel box and loved it.
he brought it over and it has a realy nice paint job and its quite thin
his is a amd 3000+ and mobility 9700 its runs hot so by a laptop cooler
battery life is poor at max it will go for 1:30
another thing they underclock on battery and you cant change it in the bios
his goes down to 800mhz on battery
