I have stuck trying to get over 11.5k in 3DMark01SE for a few months now. Nothing that I have tried has been able to get over me over it. Then I tried it with my FSB and RAM in sync. That got me about 11,100 with my eVga GeForce FX5700LE running at 500MHz core and 486MHz mem (stock 250/400). Then I overclocked the FSB and RAM from the 200MHz that they were at. I had to take out my PC2700 (256MB) so that I could get above 213MHz, but I think the results were well worth it. I got to 221 and scored about 11,780. After breaking 11.5k, I decided to try for 12k. I got to 234MHz and tried running the test, and it just froze. It did the same at 232. I then backed it down to 230MHz and 2071MHz on the cpu. This got me a score of 11,949
I am using Windows Server 2003 EE and 66.93 drivers. If I am able to break 12k, how good of a score is that for an FX5700LE?
My card is cooling down as I post this (no ramsinks). I will rerun the test now and see if I can get 12k.
Edit:
I took out another stick of RAM, leaving one stick in single channel. I tried it at 234MHz and it once again froze. I then put the stick I just took out back in so that I could have dual channel. I tried it at 232 and it froze. I guess I will check my background programs and maybe loosen the timings from the 11-3-3-2.5 that they are at now (SPD is 8-3-3-3 at 200MHz, 7-3-3-2.5 at 166) and try upping the FSB more.
Edit 2:
I tried it at 234 and 11-3-4-2.5 timings and it crashed. Then I tried 230 again and got 11,772. I guess I will have to tweak it some.
