I have stuck trying to get over 11.5k in 3DMark01SE for a few months now. Nothing that I have tried has been able to get over me over it. Then I tried it with my FSB and RAM in sync. That got me about 11,100 with my eVga GeForce FX5700LE running at 500MHz core and 486MHz mem (stock 250/400). Then I overclocked the FSB and RAM from the 200MHz that they were at. I had to take out my PC2700 (256MB) so that I could get above 213MHz, but I think the results were well worth it. I got to 221 and scored about 11,780. After breaking 11.5k, I decided to try for 12k. I got to 234MHz and tried running the test, and it just froze. It did the same at 232. I then backed it down to 230MHz and 2071MHz on the cpu. This got me a score of 11,949

I am using Windows Server 2003 EE and 66.93 drivers. If I am able to break 12k, how good of a score is that for an FX5700LE?
My card is cooling down as I post this (no ramsinks). I will rerun the test now and see if I can get 12k.

Edit:
I took out another stick of RAM, leaving one stick in single channel. I tried it at 234MHz and it once again froze. I then put the stick I just took out back in so that I could have dual channel. I tried it at 232 and it froze. I guess I will check my background programs and maybe loosen the timings from the 11-3-3-2.5 that they are at now (SPD is 8-3-3-3 at 200MHz, 7-3-3-2.5 at 166) and try upping the FSB more.

Edit 2:
I tried it at 234 and 11-3-4-2.5 timings and it crashed. Then I tried 230 again and got 11,772. I guess I will have to tweak it some.

Cool, once I get my fans(the 10th) I will see what I can get, right now though with max oc with no atrifacts, I get 5938. So you more then double me. Though this is on a 4200 ti. My system s also only a 868 mhx pc with sdram so I am not much to compare to haha. Any way congrats with the milestone.

congras on 12k, not easy with such a slow cpu, ram and gpu. If you have any plans for Venice and tccd ram, your gonna be in for a sweet supprise ;) as for 500 core on the gpu, my god!!!!!!!! thats double the stock clocks, must be a record!!!!!!!

Thanks. I would really like to get an A64, but I don't really need it (I don't game much) and I don't have enough money. I will try again for a higher score some time, maybe tweak it some, and see if I can get the speeds any higher.

Edit:
I get about 3200 in 03 with a lower oc, and about 650 in 05.

Use W2K Pro and SP4 and DX 8.1...that will get you over 12.5k...your hurting your score by running 01 with DX9...also...do the ACPI tweak in w2k...this will give you another 200 or so mark increase...

If done right...you could hit 12.8 to 13k...

I don't have Windows 2000; I mainly use Linux. I'll change some settings and maybe do a clean install and see what I get sometime.

W2K and SP4 and DX 8.1 is what helped me get over 27k...couldn't break 27k with XP and DX9...26453 was the best I could get...another key thing about W2K was I was able to OC the card another 10mhz or so on core over XP...

Now what I have heard...I dont use 2K3...is that 2K3 is worse then XP for AMD's...Gaut. or Digi can tell you more with using 2K3 and AMD...they might know of a few tweaks that might help also...
