ok so here goes I just built a new box
asus k8-ve deluxe athlon 64 2800
1 gig of ram
2 200 gig maxtor 7200 8mb
2 benq 1620 pro dvd+rw's
anyways I had the maxtors on the raid port and all was good for a week and a half
I wanted to see what the rig would do so i started upping the fsb
it booted successfully and torture tested up to 260 fsb
I hit 265 and my raid array went flakey the master drive wouldn no longer recognise on the raid card (onboard raid) so i unhooked the hd's from the raid port and put them on one of the regular ide ports and all was good minus the total lose of all data on them i loved the raid performance but if it as a lost cause i will just kick the dead horse. Anyone have any suggestions i have not tried to rehook the hd's back up to the raid port since reformatting and re-installing. any idead what cause the raid flake or any other info is greatly appreciated
