Mobile A64 and the NF3 DFI Lanparty 250 GB

I was thinking of getting the combo in the title. I've heard that Athlon 64 Mobile DTR chips won't work without a modded BIOS. But I can't flash the BIOS unless I have a regular Athlon 64 to put in the socket, right?

Are DTRs/desktop solutions just for the rich who can throw down on two chips or what?

I tried to search around but some of the threads on this stuff are so dang long and "search" hasn't come up with a definitive answer.

Help?

It works FINE... you dont need a modded bios for it either, but its good to flash to the newer bios anyways..

The only thing you have to do is set the Vcore manually.. If you just load defaults the bios sets the vcore to about .95vcore ( on mine it does ) but the board still boots fine with that..
