how far will your cpu go on stock volts?

i was just curious, i got got sick of seeing my numbers with big volts and big heat being made, i wanted to see how fast i could run this with stock cpu volts, my poor pc2700 is working pretty hard right now, nominal for that is 2.65v, im giveing the stix 2.9, i wanna do the volt mod, but i dont want to kill my warranty.. ok so heres the stats, my cpu stock is 2083mhz with 1.65v and 333fsb, or 166, whichever you prefer

2.2Ghz (11x200) with my barton 2500+, so overvolting gave me extra 100Mhz.

My Xp2500 will go to 11x195 at the stock voltage setting. However my A7N8X deluxe mobo tends to overvolt even at stock settings, so this may not be a fair statement of what the xp can do at stock.

My Duron 1600 could do about 2GHz on a stock vcore of 1.5V (it no longer works). Now my Sempron 2200+ I think can get to about 2050MHz on a stock vcore of 1.6V. It can do 1.8GHz at 1.45V, and 2GHz somewhat stable on 1.5V.

Well my Sempron 2200+ does 2000Mhz at 1.47volts stable. I have taken it to 2.1 Ghz at 1.6v but its not stable. My generic 300W PSU cant handle the load and My one stick of generic ram is also limiting me. I recon I could get it to 2.1@1.6v stable once I get a better PSU and ram.

Hmmm. I never thought of that! And quick math shows that just a 5% overvolt takes 1.65v to over 1.73. Better get a DVM and check my A7N8X voltages, too. I've always thought my CPU temps are a little high for stock voltage.

I've trusted the ASUS Probe and BIOS voltages but guess I should find a reference point near the CPU to measure.

My readings are not metered. I'm getting them from the bios and MBM. When I set it at 1.65 they read 1.72. It's always been this way on this board regardless of bios version or PSU.
