Hey guys I have a very weird problem usually I'm able to diagnose it myself no problem but I'm stuck. We're using my friend's K7S5a onboard sound and I installed the drivers fine and the speakers work just that no sound comes out. I looked into audio properties and everything is fine.

Any suggestions?

this may sound dumb but did you check to make sure you plugged the speakers into the right plugin,

I have plugged them into the mic port before and spent hours trying to figure out why i wasnt gettng sound

On some mother boards like MSI/ If the cpu is overclocked its also changes the Agp/Pci fequencys to match the Cpu overclock and when the fequencys are higher the disable onboard sound for some reason check that there set to 66/33
