I cut uneeded wires!

Stupid #$% me cut some extra wires off a psu to make space! lol.
Whats the best way to protect against a short curciut? Terminate the leads with electrical tape? Or is there some other way that's better.

dood i wouldnt do that...why not just by a cable sleeving kit and turn them into a feature :attn:

Get some small heatshrink and cap the ends.
Open up the PSU and unsolder the uneeded wires from the board or cut them flush at the board.

what if he/her got more hardware that needs more molex...i bet he would feel like a fool

Best way is to crack the case open, and unsolder the leads from the PCB.

Its ok to have ground wires dangle, but if a live wire were to hit the case or another component the system would shut right down.
