9800XT not manufactured correctly?

I just purchased a Visiontek ATI 9800XT 256mb.

With this I also purchashed the Arctic Cooling Silencer 3, supposedly made for the 9800PRO and 9800XT.

This fan does not fit my card. I even tried sawing off two of the threaded poles due to the lack of holes to put them through, and there are still capacitors in the way of the heatsink itself!

Has anyone run into this problem before?

What other VGA cooler would you recommend?

if you're using a vga silencer rev 3 it doesn't fit the 9800xt.... if you're using an ati silencer 3 then you should be fine..... must be a non-spec pcb or something......

I decided to order a "Jetart JACSH1" and I have my fingers crossed for compatibility. I'll post pictures this weekend, I'm at my parents house for Easter.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Jetart JacSH1?
