Question Antec TruPower 550W, Adjustable Rails?


Can I adjust rails on the Antec TP 550W? My rails are assified (3.25-5.0-11.79V) I wanna up the rails to increase my OC. Any tips?

How are these voltages being read? If it is by software or bios, then they are most likely wrong. Get a digital multimeter, and test them.

Yeah get a multimeter or borrow one from a friend. I use to go by software to monitor it (not adjust it), and it was off by as much as .5v

Now weather or not it has adjustable rails i have no clue, never owned that PSU before

Well, I used BIOS and the Rails read what I posted above .. How do I check the +12V / 5V / 3V? Thanks

Your rails are probably much better than you think. Those motherboard sensors are never accurate.

If you are still interested in raising your rails after you read them with a digital multimeter, you will have to do a mod to the PSU. It involves soldering a resistor, and a variable resistor in-line with the Vsense wires from the ATX connector. There is a guide posted by Hell Fire at Xtreme Systems. I can dig it up for you if you want to go through with it.
