I am new to building pc's and I'm having a problem with my Asus Nvidia N6600 video card. I think I've narrowed it down to the drivers for this card. When I click on various items my screen goes black. The software with this card includes an item called SmartDoctor and when I attempt to use it, it causes the monitor to go black. Also, when I'm looking at my hardware and click on the (+) sign, like next to my USB controller, it also causes the screen to go black.

I have a K8N-E Deluxe mobo and 1 gig of Corsair memory. My CPU is Athlon 64.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use a driver cleaner and try installing the drivers from nVidia, get rid of the SmartDoctor for now, also check asus website, and if you still can't find anything contact Asus about it.
