what would be the best deal for a budget of 1500.00?

i know dell has deals and stuff sometimes but i really dont know much about them.
but i want one with good gaming abilities.
is it possible or is 1500 just not reality?

GOOD gaming? You're at the ATI 9700 pro cost level for a gaming laptop. Considering the x800 pro mobile cards are only another $100-150 to the cost it seems like a waste to me.

Hate sending people elsewhere, but they have it all.

While Kevin and I have our diferences of opinion, he's spot dead on with that answer.

I might lean towards the Go 6800 over the x800's though (just what what I've read here and there).

Check also Dell's Refurbs....sometimes you'll find something someone else got configured w/ a high res LCD, and good graphics card, and they skimped on the ram and HDD, and opted for a DVD-ROM (not a burner) to cut costs. All of those (ram, and drives) can be gotten cheap from newegg, etc...
