S-video adapter

Hi, I have a laptop and I am interested in playing DVD's from it to a TV like in a hotel. I am wondering about S-video adapters and if they carry sound as well. I have seen some pictures on the internet of some from bestbuy, and I see the red, white, and yellow av connectors. That means it carries sound too? Or are those just a seperate cable that would come with it?

Thanks a bunch.
