Need help settling an arguement

Someone please help settle an arguement I'm having with someone on one of my gaming forums. A guy just bought a AOPEN MX46-800N motherboard. He's got a P4 2.4G/400FSB CPU and I'm reading that it only supports 8OOFSB CPUs. Another guy is telling him that it's backward compatible, and I'm telling him it's not because from what I can find out it only mentions it supports 800FSB CPUs. What's the verdict guys? well according to the cpu table from the site you listed it is backward compatible.
