comp restart, sound issue??

I have an AMD 1800+, Epox 8k3ae mobo, with a sound blaster 5.1 Live! soundcard. I just picked up a logitech 5. 1 surround system for cheap cuz my other speakers were OLD. Well anyway, I have occasional lockups or restats for reasons unknown to me. I tested the sound card in another computer and it never caused any problems. Maybe its the drivers I installed that are required for the 5.1? I have the latest and most recently patched so I dont know if its that either. Maybe too much drain on my old 300w psu? Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

What OS? Any errors like BSOD? Check event viewer( Win2k or XP) to find problems. Update drivers for the motherboard from www.viaarena.com to the latest one. Check for the south bridge compatability problem with SBLive!, there was a problem going around a few years back. Update drivers for the sound card, if all fails change the pci slot where the card is sitting.
