remvoing ramsinks(adhered)

Well Ive been water cooled for about 5 months and I'm going back to air cooling.

So my problem is I have ramsinks adhered to the ram on my vga, is there a way to remove these without damaging anything or even better a heatsink that won't be interfered upon by the heatsinks.

Scratch that, googled it and he most common methods are putting the card in the freezer for a few ours and/or using a razor blade.

An other thing don't pull the ramsink straight up, might pull a chip with it

I have heard of a lot of people pulling the chip right off the board, it seems quite common.

You can try bathing it in Alcohol as well, it can soften up the adhesive.

yea that might work and work the sinks off easy

dont pull that chip w/ it
