Finally got around to buttoning up the appearance of Mrs. Navig's machine:

Aha, here's a pic of the hard drive:

Let me be the first to say... Wow. Very well done. Everything looks awesome. Clear cases hide no sins, and it looks like you have none to hide now.

Thanks all!

I've had some fairly rotten luck with power supplies, but good support (Antec & OCZ), so I really didn't want to void my warranty--OTW I'd definitely desolder some of those leads.

There's supposed to be an auto rotating disco ball, but I've failed this mod after several attempts. Any suggestions?
I've got a disco ball, but I want it to turn when the pc is on.
I picked up an Ornamator, Christmas tree ornament spinner, but found that this thing rotates maybe 1 rpm, that is its barely discernible.
I tried a tape cassette motor, but didn't have the necessary gearing. I'm shooting for maybe 10 rpm.

man, thats nuts... The flash really shows the worst in the acrylic (I can see scratches and fingerprints)... get a couple of no-flash night pics, thats gonna look SWEET

im sure if I had 1" standoffs, I could do that [/jealousy]

that harddrive is probably flatter than my Zalman 7000Cu...

gotta make sure you get some tomato sauce for the motherboard's behind ^^

Regarding the scratches--yeah the case is actually pretty old. I picked it up somewhere in 2001, as I recall.

Here's the latest offering from clearpc.ca:

no trimming as he said first post, but sleeving might be a good idea if the Mrs. ever goes out for a few hours

Yup, I don't want to void my psu warranty, I just seem to go thru them too quick. I only have 2 cable sets exposed--the 12V cpu line and the 20 pin set. I'll get around to sleeving the 12V, for the 20pin, I may just hockey stick tape it and use split loom tubing, like the portion just as it exits the psu housing.

Very nice. Only personal pref would be to perhaps use some dark plexi or paint or something behind the mobo to "hide/cover" the wires there.

From the front/sides though, very clean. Nicely done.

I've been running this case since something 2000 or 2001! It still looks pretty much like it does in these pics, but I added a 120mm side panel intake and an x800pro. And its quite a bit dustier.

One of these days I'll update it. It's my wife's system, tho, and she uses nearly constantly (she's a KOL freak). Planning on upgrading the heatsink (probably go with one of my ninjas), and upgrading the video card to an x850xt. I'll also add some limo tint to hide all that cabling.
