I'm running Doom 3 at 1024 x 786 on Ultra detail and feeling a bit too luggish... it runs smoothly (no major lagging) but it's not as clear with rapid movement then I would have guessed. With my setup I thought I would be doing better. Maybe something to do with my moritor? frame rates?

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
DFI Lanparty UT nF3 250Gb @ 220 fsb
2 x 512 Twinmos (UTT chips) at 2-2-2-10
Sapphire x800pro at stock settings
19" ViewSonic A90f+ (I love this thing!) usually not using the UltraBrite Mode.

Any ideas anyone?

OC ur graphics card or bring the detail down a notch or both.

Edit for Timdog's post, i love being paraphrased.

Yeah take it down to high detail instead of ultra.
I can play it @1024x768 2XAA and 4XAF like a dream.
With the settings on ultra I get the same symptoms as you.

I remember reading that Ultra really needs 512MB of Video Ram to run smoothly. Your best bet is to either overclock your x800 or turn the details down to high.

I would just turn it down a notch. I could play on ultra with my 6800GT overclocked, but the loads times were incredibly long. Also, to be honest, I couldn't tell a difference so I ended up turning the settings back down to shorten the load times.
