Actually the x800 XL is the much longer card... if you look at the 2nd picture it says which is which on the coolers... If you can't quite read it, the x800 XL is on top in both pictures.

x800xl is the longest card i've ever owned. i though my 6800ultra was big, but this puts it to shame.

The 9800pro does have a lil bit added to the top if you look at the back plate on both cards but it aint much looks like 4 mm's

Im just wondering, what do you need to know the size for.

They require a 350watt powersupply

i was just wondering because i dont have much space in between my vid card (9800) and my hdd. i could always move my hdd to a different slot but i was just wondering. thx for the replies guys! if i can scrounge up enough money im prolly gonna buy this and this psu, do u think its good enough? http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817163017 even though its cheep, it does have 17a on the 12v rail. do u think this is a reliable psu or crap?

Why don't you get an antec PSU instead? they're generally a lot better. I'd recommend a truepower 430 or 480 (true power 2 has 24 pins and dual 12v rails, which is good for atx 2.0 mobos)

if thats the REQUIREMENT, how sure are u that that psu can run that vid card on my system? if im not mistaken, an athlon 64 uses a lot more power than a mobile athlon...i mean it just seems a little weird to me that u would recommend the very minimum. ill look and post the other ones that i thought looked decent for good $'s then u can tell me what u think of those as well.

EDIT: what about any of these?

also, what are some of the cheapest good modular power supplies where u can use only the cables that u want? i see some of them, but they are usually like over 100 bucks and i simply cant pay that much for a psu.
