Junk mail question

When I get junkmail the text is not actually sentences, but random strings of words. Does anyone know why spammers do this? I have been curious about this for some time now. I am guessing it is for body filter bypassing or something.
Here is an example:

bipartisan byline excretory agleam hades noun instrument escrow ferment electrophorus dare diode cattlemen allocable extol down falsify grandiloquent impasse atlantis iodinate chautauqua lowell

sidetrack christina sonata committeewoman pythagoras chronography dampen bass sprint cornea bilharziasis latera hairy %RND cathode

it's a trick used to fool spam filters that look for blank emails or specific strings of words. Using a random collection of words means that each spam usually has a slightly different subject and very different content.
I almost enjoy these ones as the text can be very amusing. A small consolation for an inbox of rubbish

I was reading about forming poems from the text in spam. I also seen some, the body is from actual classic works.

Is there any way to relieve a box of these type of spam messages? This type of spam is difficult for me to filter. Since I filter manually and don't use third party programs to do this.
