cannot access my Maxtor HD while i have it as slave

cannot access my Maxtor HD while i have it as slave


currently i have just installed my sata HD and i've but my IDE hard drive as slave. my computer reads my second hard drive but i can not access any of my files. it says access denied. i've check my bios to make sure my IDE HD is in slave and the jumpers but stilll nothing. someone told me i would need a driver for my HD but im not sure that is the problem. can ne one help me???

is it enabled in the bios? try that first. Is your cable connected properly? try a fresh one to feel the fit.

Is the drive encypted? Also can you see it in BIOS but not in Windows? Or you can't see it at all?
