well my 9600 decided to crap out on me. im trying to fix it but to no avail. the picture is messed, sorta like artifacting even during post. i was removing heatsink and adding ramsinks. did a messy job. tried cleaning it off. the stuff is hard to get off. i didnt see a difference. im pretty sure i didnt knock off one of the transistors or other do-dads. neone have any suggestions?

if i cant fix i think im gonna get a replacement. i dont want to spend alot of money and i want a similar performanced card. im planning to build a new comp soon so im not sure how much i want to spend. i need 2 vid cards neways so i dont want to get a really good one for this comp...im thinking low to mid 100's ?

HAHAHA!! im so happy rite now
there is a god! alrite so i looked really closely at my board for about 4 hrs. i tried mostly tried cleaning it. i thought the silver compound was shorting something or some metal shavings got stuck inside. (dont ask me why) then i see this blank area where it looks like a resistor/transistor is suppose to be. i try soldering them together and put the card back in my comp. !!! it worked. i was so phyched. now im trying to fix my old GeForce2 GTS. The same thing happened to it, but i knew i broke off a transistor.
