Memory Problems on the Ultra-D

Finally got all my stuff here and put it all together.

Having issues with my Corsair XMS PC4400 v1.1 RAM. On default settings they fail memtest out the ass. And even changing voltages and other settings I've used from dfistreet, I still get a buttload of errors.

The only time I don't get a single error, is when I am running in 2T. Im using the latest ''official'' BIOS @ 3/10.

Anybody got any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

I've got the same problem as you. Haven't figured out a way to fix it yet though, but I have been getting the advice to flash to the 414-3 BIOS but I haven't tried it yet.

ive tried changing those, changing other things in the BIOS a thousands times and tried about 4 different BIOS versions. 1T always gives me a blue screen or hangs right before the windows logon screen would appear.

methinks i need to send the RAM back to Corsair. or can this mobo really be THAT finicky?

what slots are you using the memory in?

seems the yellow ones are for crap and the orange ones are the way to go. might give that a try if you havent already.

theres also three diffrent bios from what ive read they seem to be geard towards the diffrent memorys utt/bh5-6 for one tccd for another ill have to see if i cant find a link that explains it better. i do know theres a fairly extensive thread over at xtremesystems that deals with all the "quirks" of this motherboard and makes for a good read if your having problems.
