Constant d/l even when idle???

Hello again everyone, Is it normal to have constant download and upload even when not using Internet explorer? I usually avg. about 30 kB/sec download and about 6.0 kB/sec upload even when the comp. is idle. Seems wierd. I ran all of my security and anti-spyware programs and they say I'm clean so I thought that I would ask you guys.

ctrl alt del and look at all the options in processes. you have to add them to see them.

You might consider getting a firewall like Zone Alarm. This will tell you what the traffic is (to a small point) and lets you cut off all traffic if you want.

you could grab tcpview as well, this will show what process/program has what ports open.
