Does SLI increase ping?

What I would like to know is how many are gaming on line using a SLI motherboard,and what is the efect it has on your ping if any?
I am having a ping problem,and it is between my system and cable modem.I have a linksys WRT54G wireless router.My ISP pinged my modem and it was 18 .I play DC Final and my ping is 79 to 150 on most servers. I bumped res down to the lowest setting and I had a 12 ping. So I am thinking does the SLI have anything to do with it?

I am connected by cable.

SLI should not have any effect on your ping at all.

are you uploading or doing some downloading while playing these games?

no. Just playing the game.

SLI has no effect on ping. Ping is a measurement of latency between yourself and the server you are connected to in the game.
