StarCraft/WarCraft wannanie games?

Hello to alls... I personally dont get into the fps games... However I love starcraft and warcraft.. will prolly play them until i die...

But my question is... what games are like that? That style of game? I want to find another game cuz they are gettin a lil old but I love the style of play... any suggestions?

Seen red alert.. didnt impress me... commandos dont think Ive seen it... The biggest thing is I dont want to go spend 10-60 bucks on a game and realize it sucks... IMO

age of empires 2 and aoe2:conquerors expansion.

yeah yeah, so microsoft slapped their name on it... it's actually a good game. give it a try.

I agree totally. Warcraft2 is my all time fav. I addition to the mentioned AOE, try Civilization and Starwars Rebellion. I have heard rumors that Rebellion2 is coming out. Another one I look forward to is the up comming release of Master of Orion 3. I never played 2, but 1 was pretty good for its time.

For a quick "fix" there is a site http://www.mking.com that has a free demo of a game called Swarm that is pretty good.

I've had starcraft and broodwars for a while, but still haven't grown tired of it...Same with commandos-behind enemy lines and commandos -beyond the call of duty..
Which brings me to the question: Has anyone had their hands on Commandos 2 yet? it's not available here yet, but I can't wait. Hope they added some extra features.
-Diver should be able to pull bodies under water and thus hiding them
- More interaction with vehicles
- More emphasis on strategy rather than simple things that drive you mad because they need millisecond perfect timing

Just my wishlist

I am waiting for War3... I want that game... Does anyone know if theyre doing any more for starcraft? just kind a curious...

and what is war2bne? I dont like really playin on battlenet... although I have a few times...

They have announced (unofficially) a Starcraft 2. That'll be sweet. I wanna see what War3 looks like before I consider buying it.
