Question firewall off?


Is there a way to disable a firewall on a linksys BEFSR41?

Good question. I'v been trying to do the same thing.

The instructions "say" you can set up a DMZ host that is supose to be exposed to the net with no firewall. From what i'v found it dosn't work. I'v tried all kinds of things and havn't been able to do it yet. Dosn't work.

One thing you can do is try updating your routers firmware. The latest update has fixes for various stuff. Rather they fixed the DMZ host or not is beyond me. I don't have the time to try it out. But If your sucesfull let me know. I'll try to help you as much as I can The firmware update is on the linksys page.

yup i tried the DMZ host thing too and a still had a firewall...
