As you can see from my spec, I'm on a Socket A system and have an X800 Pro. I'd like to upgrade to a S939 system, but I don't want to lose my vid. card. Therefore, the existence of such an adapter is very important to me, so thanks in advance for help :)

Recently I read this thread: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=387107&highlight=x800+Pro

This seems to indicate the upcoming release of such an adapter. Yet I found a thread on anandtech, where the people there poured as much scorn as they could on merely the idea of such an adapter even existing: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=31&threadid=1588351&enterthread=y

So which forum is right - anandtech or ocforums? Does such an adapter exist (or will it in the next two or three months or so?) or doesn't it?

does it exist, yes shown by the link that SSS posted, can you buy yet, well no, but possibly and email to albatron will clear that up of when and how much. as for anandtech, I like there news, but I don't like there site. They are hardcore, go the best or go home. So, I mean there are gonna be drawbacks of using it, but for the person that can't afford the PCI-E card, and still want to migrate to the next gen motherboard, its a great solution

Thanks for the reply, dicecca112 :) (Keep 'em coming!)

Just dispatched an e-mail to Albatron regarding release date and pricing, hoping for a quick response from their sales department.
