apache process?

i never seen this process in a taskbar before but since ive installed xp home on the SLI board in my sig i have 2 instances of it. 1 running almost 6mb the other 14mb. i know of an apache thats a server and i know of the indians, but wtf is this doing on my computer. i cant take it off and when i end it , it pops right back

Apache is a webserver: www.apache.org
Look in your services and all the registry places where something can be started on bootup for it
