Oh ya, and huge thanks to this guy here.

Helped me find all the parts, even sold me some, and kept me in line.

Lets say he was my master and I was the apprentice.

Looking good Fishy, maybe your gauges will get lost in the mail and I might actually beat you to getting a system up and running first.

How do you plan to hold the evap down? Just put a plexi-sheet over the top and bolt it down?

Looks good man, I cant wait to get mine rolling.

I have a metal mounting bracket with studs that sits atop the insulation.

I think its the only thing that didn't make it into the pictures.

Wow does this mean your going for the #1 x800xl or 6800?

I'm curious what did you use to braze with?

Also I'm glad that I'm to see that I'm not the first person to see that gas hose and think wow that would make a great Phase Change coolant return line.

Edit:

All it should require is an Asus or a Gainward card.

You buying? I almost bought an ASUS, but at over $550 I just can't justify it. I guess Ill have to stick with #2.

I brazed all the copper joints with 15% silver rods. The SS/Copper junction recieved a treatment of black flux, 4 45% silver rings, and then another seal of 15% rod.

I will be taking the #1 x800XL score, and Ill be looking to take down the 9800 scores, and possibly some of the x800xt and x850xt scores.

I wish LOL. However if I was I'd be telling you not to worry about a wimpy single stage as I'm flying out to help you with a triple Cascade for the GPU, an autocascade for the chipset and either a triple cascade or alot of LN2 for the CPU. But i'm not.

However I'm not so sure that your going to get the 9800 records as i'll be going after them with a dothan DI, and a frankenGPU cooler that will be done when I find a cheap pump or Petsmart get the Danner Mag3s back in stock.

We will see. I have 4 9800s that I can use. One of them has to be a record breaker.

Looks like a nice setup, but did you flush with nitrogen/propane while brazing?

If not you probably have some serious copper oxidation on the inside of the lines.

It might not block anything, but if you do it again I'd reccomend it.

I can't say I find the idea of flowing propane through a block while you braze it too enticing. The theory is that there is no air so it can't burn or explode, but until you are done brazing the evaporatir, it isn't sealed at all. You could argue that the flow of the propane out of the block would be enough to keep any air from blowing into the evap through the seams you are brazing, but with the amount of "wind" from the torch I wouldn't bet on that. I'm not worried about an explosion, but I wouldn't be supprised to see some flames from the seams of the block and maby some little "pops". I have been using a quick dip in muriatic acid to clean the oxidization off my parts, and it works very well and very quickly.

The acid itself is pretty crazy stuff, deffinatly something to wear safety glasses with, and only use outside with a bit of a breeze blowing. The fumes from it are somewhere between horrably rotten eggs and mustard gas. When you put oxidized parts in it, it bubbles like mad for a couple seconds until the oxidization is gone.

No, way too much work.

I considered it, but it just looks like way too much work.
