My first thought was Holy ***** your comp has problems but then I realized it was just a list...

too bad I don't have a think pad or I would copy the list for future problems...

So umm... what problems where you experiencing and how can I help you?

they were fixed, turned out it was just a bad cmos battery, a bad cmos translates into 3 errors. i got 2 thinkpad 600's for 100 bucks, one worked and one was "for parts" all that was wrong with it was a $5 cmos battery that died. and the "forparts" one was actually slightly faster than the good one, i moved the cd/battery/cmos to the forparts and she runs like a beast, 300mhz, 224 mb of ram!

oh ok...

there was just no way i was going to wade through that 10 page list to figure out what you were talking about ;)

100 bucks for a basic laptop aint bad at all... good luck with your... er..hmm.. beast :)

I would hope so... can you imagine an IBM tech fixing 5 different model notebooks each having their own error codes in the same day? If I where a tech working there I would quit after fixing only 3 different models...

Do those codes go for all thinkpad laptops? All series, old ones to new ones?

Vipe, the only ones you need to worry about, are the first page. The 100 to whatever that first section goes to. The baddie is 0175, which means that you have a locked BIOS. (Which you don't!) There is no way to clear it, that I know of, except changing the mobo.

Hint, don't lock the BIOS, unless you have a REAL good reason.
