Ok, this pc has a wireless network card, however I use the wired connection instead - just because I had the cable laid out in my room before I got the wireless network capability, so have left it as it was. I disabled the wireless connection and use the wired connection to hook up to my router to get onto the internet. Have been using it like this for over a month now with no problems.
However, tonight things have gone all weird on me. The wired connection doesn't show in my network connections any more. Ok, no big deal I figured, I would just switch over to the wireless option. I am fine for 10minutes, and then it disconnects me, at which point I have to click repair, and halfway through this process I connect to the net again, however, it gives me the error message that windows couldn't repair the connection as it couldn't connect to the wireless network. Yet it clearly could as I am posting this from the computer, with no network cable plugged in, and only the wireless card as means of connection.
Can anyone give me any pointers? It is fairly consistent on 10minutes between disconnects, which seems such a strange number for it to be totally random - it seems like I have a setting somewhere that is set incorrectly. Please help!
