Hey guys, im sick of bending down to switch between my headphones and my speaker system on the back of my case/mobo...is there anything out there that is like an adapter that will extend out from the mobo sound port to like a little device that i can just easily plug my speaker+headphones into? Also, a sound control on it would be cool too...

is there such a thing?

Thanks, ps2cho.

get something like this
ycable.jpg
to connect your headphones to. To that attach two RCA cables http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&product_id=15-2423 and then use this adapter to mate them to work with the jack in your computer http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&product_id=274-883

You can make your own if you are good with soldering, you just need a DPDT switch, middle being the output from the pc, either side being the phones and speakers.

well i switch the headphoens from my AXP system to my laptop...
I have seen a little thing like this on an antec sound system my friend has.

I'm not really looking to make anything myself.

no no, let me explain clearer, im sorry.
I dont want to bend down behind my computer anymore and i switch my headphones from my main computer to my laptop a lot of times, its not just staying on one computer.

I need something that will Extend it so i can like put it on my desk.

thanks for the input already though.
