HELP low fps online with x850xt

arg this is really annoying. on cs source 32 ppl servers, im getting fps around 50-60 in high action/detail areas up to 20 ppl servers. then i get a serious fps drop on 32 ppl servers in high action/detail areas. it goes below 32 fps quite a few times. i dunno whats causing such low fps for such a high end card. however, this is quite a different story when not playing online. hl2, i get a consistent 60+ fps on maximum settings at 1280x1204 res. on the stress test, i averaged 96 fps on maximum settings for the same res. on 3dmark05, i scored 6000. so is it a problem with my gfx card? or could there be something wrong with my networking. i can use both usb cable line or my mobo onboard ethernet 10/100/1000 realktek. i get the same results either way

{note - the fps i listed in the beginning were with AAx6 AFx16. however, i still had low fps issues, although higher, when i ran it on AAx2 AFx4.}

sys specs are:
3.2 ghz p4
2 gb ddr2 ram
250 gb hd
850xt pci-e

it could be your internet what type of internet do you have dsl cable what and if its dsl what speed is it i dont know if cable has diff speeds like dsl so i wont ask that question lol

my cable line itself has absoutely no problem. i can dl at 700 mb/s on fast websites.

nope, havent oced the cpu. altho i oc the gfx card sometimes

nothing wrong with the cpu, but it might be responsible for the low fps

my cpu score on 3dmark05 is 4242. i think thats pretty good. is that score low enuff to cause fps lag?

Jzmagic, i'm having a similar problem to you, i have an X800 XT AIW, and in CS:source im getting very low fps for my card, only around 50-70 at 1024x768 resolution highest details, and 4x AA 8x AF :[ i don't know what my problem is either! my CPU is a 3400+ socket 754 using 1GB of Geil Value ram i wished i could get more fps i know my video card should be putting out alot more fps than 50-70!!!

yea 9800 pros out fps me in cs source and with all bot 32 slot servers. when i create a 32 player server with all bots, my fps drops down to 10-20 fps for some reason.
