The original problem:
The computer will not boot up. With RAM slots 1 or 3 occupied (by one stick of ram), the computer will boot without any beeps. With 2 or 4 occupied, I get long, constant beeps (memory error).
I went and bought a new motherboard:
Same problem.
I went and bought a new processor:
Same problem.
I'm testing with 5 different sticks of ram:
2 512mb PC4000 Ballistix chips
2 256mb PC3200 Corsair XMS chips
1 512mb PC3200 Corsair XMS chip
No combo of these rams works. Nor do any work individually.
What is the likelihood that they are all fried?
