I bought it, I played it, and I threw it away. I felt robbed and violated by this thing they called a game. I don't know of any sites yet. Give it time, it's still new.

For some reason Red Faction play's really jerky on my pc. Even with things turned down and every other program turned off on my pc. All other games play fine. I think I may try and reinstall and see what happens. But I don't think that'll help. Any Ideas?

I don't see what all of you are whining about. I'm running 1024*768*32 with a Duron 800, GeForce 2 MX 400, 512MB PC133 SDRAM, and Windows 98. Smooth as buttah!

I love the deformable terrain best. It's just too bad that there's a limit on how much can be deformed. My roommate and I decided to play a quick LAN mulitplayer game, and just kicked the crap out of the walls. THAT was some fun stuff!

Oh it ran beautifully on my machine. Fast as can be. It's just that the game itself sucked. It was too short. For a cutting edge game the graphics were sad. The breaking glass was cool until it starts to fall, then it looks crappy. The ending was pathetic. I honestly thought I was doing something wrong and I wasn't getting to the next level, and low and behold it starts rolling credits. The sound was horid. The sound blending from one atmosphere to another was underachieved. The AI was sad. I mean really sad. Pong has a better AI.

I don't like the multiplayer. This is just personal opinion though. I'm not fond of Quake like games.

I was totally dissappointed with Red Faction.

I'm not whining! I was simply stating that for one reason or another the game just will not run smooth on my PC. While every other game I have does. I asked for suggestions or ideas, not to be criticized!

Wouldnt say its a great game, (im not finished playing it yet) but the multiplayer is O.K. and single player is also O.K.

Worth the money* I paid for it.

* No money was used to pay for it.

I played the demo, it sucked ass. Ran slowly and looked like the Half Life engine, just more jaggies. Bad AI, worse weapons...beat the demo in 10 minutes and deleted it. Waste of time, nevermind money.

bought it play it at 1600x1200x32 and looks ok,

its the loosers with the lagging modems that **** me off.

its like they run a server and have it set up for 32 people

and you can run behind a wall while being shot at and still get killed. the dynamics suck but is fun

Didn't mean to **** anyone off. I just didn't see what everyone was complaining about. I'm not done with it yet, but thus far, I'm diggin' it. Sure, it's not a top 10 game, or revolutionary or anything, but it's not total crap. Yeah, there are better games, but there are worse games. And I'm just saying this game is pretty good, and I'm havin' fun with it.

Ok it's cool. I'll spend some more time on it once I finish Max Payne.

Yeah, play Max Payne first. That looks MUCH cooler. But I'm diggin' Red Faction. I just love FPS in general, and Faction gives you some cool visuals. I love the way glass breaks. Very nice looking.

Hey, anyone know how to beat Capek? I'm facing him now, but he just keeps beating me and Eos down, and I can't get past his shield. Any help?

He's immune to explosions. Use machine guns, stand at the bottom of his pedistal and strafe in a circle under him and under the walkway leading up to him. As long as he doesn't kill you I think Eos will actually kill him so long as you stay in his visual sight so he will attack you and not Eos. Just use the strafe thingy and you should be ok.

If you have it saved before he comes out, kill all the guards but one, then throw a remote mine on the last one. Save it, then you can just blow the guy up to make Capek come out when you are ready for him.

bitte... or something like that. I went to my senior homecoming with an exchange student from Germany. Couldn't understand a damned thing she said, she'd say something and I'd say, "what?"
